Throughout her career working with 6abc, she visited Los Angeles several times to cover the lighter side of news with updates on ABC shows and Dancing with the Stars. In addition, she traveled to Egypt to prepare for the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute. She was the only reporter to go live when Pope Francis was delivering a mass from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and was serenaded before his departure from Philadelphia.
O’Hearn worked at 6abc’s sister station, WTVD, the ABC-owned station in Durham, North Carolina prior to coming to the city of Brotherly Love. While there, she covered hurricanes ripping through the Tar Heel State and also breaking news to UNC pep rallies.
She started her broadcasting career in her hometown of Albany, New York at Capital News 9. Prior to diving into news, she used to work with an MTV documentary called True Life for some time producing episodes. In the course of her time at MTV, traveled all over the country, following teens and young adults as they grappled with issues like drug addiction and bipolar disorder but most of her time she spent in New York City.
