She also worked in South Korea with the U.S. Department of State(Fulbright Korea Grantee) for two years. In the course of her time there, she traveled extensively throughout Asia after falling in love with kimchi. She worked with North Korean defectors and lived with a host family for a year.
Throughout her career, she worked in New Zealand, Cambodia, and Japan. In addition, she served in Omaha at KETV and in Des Moines and KCCI. She likes Korean food, and Korean food is her passion too. Hassanzadeh is passionate about covering local stories that are happening down the street. She is also in love with exploring new restaurants down the street.
