Erin Connolly is an American Emmy Award-winning Anchor and Reporter working for WFSB-TV (CBS Affiliate) in Hartford, Connecticut as a weekday evening anchor. She joined the station in June 2014.

Connolly graduated from Syosset High School and then attended Tufts University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Mass Media and Communications. In high school, she was part of the French Honor Society, Japanese Honor Society, and National Honor Society and won the Wendy’s Heisman Scholar-Athlete and Newsday Scholar Athlete Awards. Additionally, she produced, anchored, reported, and directed TUTV News Broadcasts.

Connolly serves at WFSB as an Evening News Anchor. He anchors the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts on Eyewitness News from Monday through Friday. She has worked in Connecticut for over one and a half decades. Before joining WFSB, she served at Time Warner Cable News (YNN) in Albany, New York as a news reporter and anchor for 4 years and 9 months. Before that, she worked for WCTI TV 12 and FOX 8/14 in New Bern, North Carolina as a News Reporter and Anchor for 1 year and 9 months. She has worked for KEYC News 12 in Mankato, Minnesota as a News Reporter/Anchor for 11 months.
The Hartford Business Journal honored Connolly with the “40 Under Forty Awards” in the year 2020. Also, she was honored with the same awards by The Irish Echo and Connecticut Magazine in the year 2021. The Irish Echo also awarded Connolly the “Irish Heritage Award.” At WFSB, Connolly has had the chance to report on various stories including the Traveler’s Championship, the 2016 Presidential Debate at Hofstra University in N.Y., and Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia.
Connolly has been part of WFSB’s investigative unit, where she assisted in spearheading the series, “Fugitive Files.” The series highlighted local cold cases. The stories led to numerous arrests thus bringing justice to a number of families. Connolly’s favorite story she has ever covered in her career is the story of a local man who was in desperate need of a liver, in the year 2017. A kind viewer watched the story and volunteered to donate her organ to save the life of the man. Connolly has also assisted in raising funds for multiple Connecticut charities and organizations.
