Lavandera produced “Biker Brawl: Inside the Texas Shootout,” an hour-long documentary in the year 2016 about the 2015 Waco, Texas shootout between rival motorcycle clubs. He is known for his unique passion for storytelling and crafting stories that bring to life the wide range of people he gets to meet while reporting around the nation. This was displayed in the year 2009 via his personalization of Bowe Bergdahl (United States soldier) who went missing in Afghanistan.
