In addition, he was a member of the board of associate trustees at Siena College from 2011 to 2012.

He began serving as the senior White House correspondent in December 2008. While working at CNN, he has covered the White House for CNN since March 2006. Furthermore, he also covered Capitol Hill for CNN.
