Don Lemon is an American Emmy Award-winning News Anchor/Reporter working for CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. He joined the station in September 2006.

Lemon is a proud alumnus of Baker High School, Louisiana State University, and Brooklyn College. He graduated from Brooklyn College in the year 1996 with a degree in broadcast journalism. During his stint at Brooklyn, he worked as an adjunct professor, where he taught and participated in a curriculum designed around new media. While studying at Brooklyn College, he worked as an intern at WNYW-TV in New York City. He also served at NBC affiliates in Chicago and Philadelphia as a correspondent and Fox affiliates in Chicago and St. Louis, for a couple of years.

He also covered the George Zimmerman trial in the year 2013, the Inaugural of the 44th President in Washington, the 2008 Hurricane Gustav in Louisiana, and the 2015 Charleston church shooting, just to name a few.

Lemon works at CNN. Before joining CNN, he worked for NBC5 News in Chicago, where he co-anchored the 5 p.m. newscasts. He began working for NBC5 News in as an Anchor/Reporter in August 2003. Before that, he served at NBC News in New York. There he worked as a correspondent for “NBC Nightly News” and “The Today Show,” and anchored on TODAY on Saturdays and Sundays and on MSNBC. In the year 2018, Lemon was accused of assaulting a man in a Sag Harbor, New York, but the lawsuit has ended in a whimper. Lemon calls it a difficult and long journey. The Court’s ruling fully brings a vindication to Lemon and therefore an end to the abusive lawsuit. The case was a crass money grab from its inception and Lemon has never paid the compensatory damages for the plaintiff. Hice was the plaintiff in the case and had to pay $77,000.
