Dina Bair Biography

Dina Bair is an American Emmy award-winning journalist working for WGN as a Midday Anchor. Bair is the medical reporter for the ”Medical Watch”on WGN Midday News, WGN News at Nine, and WGN Evening News. She joined the station in September 1994 as a full-time general assignment reporter.

Bair has also managed to get several awards. She is a nine-time Emmy Award winner, multiple Associated Press awards, and a Peter Lisagor Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Bair was named a Fellow by the National Press Foundation for the “Cancer Issues” seminar which was in Washington, D.C

Bair reported inside the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Memorial Hospital for a whole month. Bair’s documentary and news series, “Intensive Caring,” which talked about cutting-edge medical treatments and life-and-death decisions won awards for its news and documentary coverage.

Apart from her journalism career, Bair also leads a media running team dedicated to raising funds for charity and the less fortunate. Bair is involved with other organizations and foundations that aim at helping victims of sex trafficking, and so much more. She enjoys boxing, lifting weights, competitive ballroom dancing, and running.
