DeJuan Hoggard is an American Award-Winning anchor/reporter working for ABC11 serving as an anchor. He joined the ABC11 Eyewitness News team in April 2016.

Hoggard attended California State University Northridge where he attained his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Broadcast) and collateral in Pan-African Studies. Additionally, they also earned an MBA with a specialization in marketing from Ashford University with a perfect GPA.

Hoggard co-anchors weekend evenings for Eyewitness News and reports during the week for Eyewitness News at 4, 5, and 6. His journalism career began as a host/reporter for his high school’s television news program. He then interned at KUSI-TV in San Diego and started working for the station soon after.

In 2013, he moved on to work for One America News where he served as an anchor as well as a reporter. While at the station, he anchored the “Early Edition” of One America News and was able to cover many stories that hit the headlines. Additionally, he also enclosed the San Bernardino shootings, and national politics, just to mention a few. In 2016 he made the decision to move to ABC11.

Hoggard is also an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. While in college, he was tagged “Mr. Television” by one of his college instructors. A name the instructor still calls him to this day.

Whenever he is not working, he enjoys traveling, watching football(Go San Diego Chargers and USC Trojans!), catching matinee movies, and trying new restaurants. He is also very active on his social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter as well as Instagram.
