David Bacon is an American anchor who is currently working at KTAB. He serves as the evening anchor at the station. While growing up in Abilene, he watched KRBC-TV. He attended Cooper High School where he graduated proudly. Later on, he attended Southern Methodist University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
In his career as a journalist, he has worked in television stations in St. Louis, San Antonio, and Midland. Later in December 1981, he returned back home to work at KTAB-TV where he served as the sports director. For the next twenty-four years, he covered many local high school and college championship events, an MLB All-Star Game, and covered two Super Bowls.
Later on, he switched to KTAB Sales, primarily to follow his son and daughter’s school activities.
