Evas serves as the 5, 5:30, and 6 news anchor and handles Health Check at WSET-TV ABC 13 based in Virginia. On joining WSET-TV, she started off by serving as a weekend anchor for over ten years. Prior to joining WSET-TV, she worked at WMBF News based in Myrtle, South Carolina where she served as the evening anchor. She worked at WMBF from August 2008 till her departure in June 2011. She had previously spent about 2 years and 3 months working at KPLC-TV serving as the weekend anchor, general assignment reporter, and health reporter.
In 1996, she joined The University of Kansas where she attained her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2000. Danner has also won several awards and honors including the 2022 Best TV Anchor from the Virginias Associated Press. She also received a regional Edward R. Murrow for enclosing the Virginia Parole Board in 2022. One of her special series, “Nathan Norman Best Human Interest Series” won several awards. The South Carolina Associated Press also awarded her educational and medical reporting.
Danner is also an avid runner and has finished numerous runs including The New York Marathon and The Myrtle Beach Half Marathon. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family, friends, husband, and sons.
