Jacobson serves at CBS as the host and correspondent for CBS News and as a co-host for CBS This Morning Saturday. She is also an anchor & reporter for CBS Sports and CBS SportsNetwork. Jacobson has done several television conferences, including exclusive profiles of Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant. In addition, she worked on a variety of high-profile assignments, including anchoring coverage of the 2018 Missouri Duck Boat crash, reporting on sexual harassment incidents discovered at Ohio State University and the University of Michigan, and having exclusive access to stories from USS Harry S. Truman about sailors reuniting with their families at sea months later.
Jacobson, an award-winning journalist, has been a consultant to CBS News programs since 2015. She served as a backup anchor for “CBS This Morning” and “CBS This Morning: Saturday” and anchored on CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 internet streaming news network. At CBS News, Jacobson has made a series of assignments, including coverage of the Winter Olympics in South Korea, continuing trials and the aftermath of sexual assault allegations against former U.S. gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, the attempts of two men to ascend Mount Everest, and the profile of parents cycling around the country to help Gold Star families.
Jacobson has been part of the CBS family since 2013 when she joined the CBS Sports Network as a studio anchor for Inside College Football” and Inside College Basketball.” She has also been a sideline analyst for the NCAA tournament since 2015 and has contributed to The NFL Today” as a reporter.
Previously, she worked as an anchor for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” and “ESPN First Take.” At ESPN, she has served as an NBA analysis correspondent and was part of the Winter and Summer X Games on-air unit. Jacobson started her media career as a CBS affiliate editor in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. She turned her attention to on-air news and anchoring in Traverse City, Mich., and Sacramento, California, where she was awarded the Edward R Murrow National Headliner and Regional Awards for Sports Reporting.
