Wells is a News anchor and general assignment reporter at FOX 19. He joined the station in 2008. After joining FOX 19, he began to report for the FOX19 NOW 10 p.m. news on a variety of daily and breaking news events. He has traveled to Mexico and Arizona and covered immigration and border issues affecting life in the Tri-State.
From there, he moved to an anchoring and reporting position on FOX19 NOW Morning News. He was handed a chance to launch FOX19 NOW Weekend Morning News in 2012. An opportunity came his way in March 2016 to anchor the FOX19 NOW Weekday Morning News. Prior to joining FOX19, he was working at WJET, the ABC affiliate in Erie, Pennsylvania as a fill-in anchor and general assignment reporter.
He worked at KMIR, the NBC affiliate in Palm Springs, California as a general assignment reporter before joining WJET. His journalism career started in Phoenix, Arizona at KNXV the ABC affiliate. While there, he served in the production and news departments for four years.
He developed a love for broadcasting while in high school. Wells also worked at WICU, the NBC affiliate in Erie, Pennsylvania, and during the “school-to-work” program he grew a love for news reporting, television, and writing
