Dan Kennedy is an American Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor working for 13News Now. He was previously working in Nashville, Tennessee.  Kennedy joined the station in June 2018.

He is the newest member of the 13News Now Daybreak team.

During his time in Chattanooga, Tennessee at WRCB-TV, he covered several stories in a wide range as a reporter and anchor. The stories include the manhunt for the accused Waffle House shooter in Nashville and a terrorist attack against servicemen in Chattanooga. In addition, he covered the devastating Gatlinburg wildfires.

In 2017, he traveled to Florida where he reported Hurricane Irma both during the ensuing days of recovery and as it made landfall. While covering those local tragedies and natural disasters, he tries to look for something good in humanity. Sometimes he does that by highlighting the heroic efforts of first neighbors, volunteers, as well as responders.

During his leisure time, he likes playing golf, reading about U.S. history, and running. In addition, he is an active fan of the Nashville Predators, the Tennessee Titans, as well as the Missouri Tigers. Kennedy has been racing, most of the time races in half marathons. While raising money for the Lymphoma Society and Leukemia, he finished the 2015 Chattanooga Ironman 70.3. He is much happy to be working in the Hampton Roads community.
