Dan Bowens is an American three-time Emmy Award-winning Anchor/Reporter working at FOX flagship station, WNYW-TV in New York. He joined the station in February of 2019.
Bowens is also the host of a true-crime podcast named “The Tape Room With Dan Bowens.” Additionally, Bowens also writes and helps produce FOX 5’s Emmy-nominated series, “Jazz Stories.”

Bowens serves at FOX 5 WNYW as a Good Day Wake Up Anchor. He started as a Weekend News Anchor, then got promoted to News Reporter. He began the role of Good Day Wake Up Anchor in November of 2021. Bowens was part of a team at WNYW that won a New York Emmy for a special report on Autism in 2018. In 2015, he was nominated for a NY Emmy Award for General Assignment Reporting. Additionally, Bowens helped launch three other Emmy Nominated series at the station, “The Big Idea,” “FOX Docs” and “FOX 5 Films.”
Before joining FOX 5 in New York City, he served at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina where he earned two regional Emmy Awards. Additionally, he served at Florida, WINK-TV in Fort Myers, and KEPR-TV in the Tri-Cities, Washington.
He has been active in the community, offering his time at schools and other community organizations. Besides, he has worked as Master of Ceremonies for several events, including at the annual Cultural Awareness Salute Gala with the Black Culinary Association and the famed Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
