Galny serves as the anchor of the noon newscasts and hosts Twin City Talk. On joining KBTX, she started off by serving as a videotape editor while still in college. She went to Texas A&M University where she attained her bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She has also won several awards including the Jefferson Award for Public Service at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Galny also won second place in Best Feature from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for enclosing Barbara Bush’s scrapbooks.
Galny was tagged the national Wednesday’s Child Winner in 2011 by the Adoption Exchange Association for her story on “Marcus”. Prior to working at KBTX, she worked and interned at CNN in the White House. Furthermore, she is also a board member of the Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley.
