Courtney Ann Jackson is an American News Anchor/Multimedia Journalist currently working for WLBT-TV since joining the station in November 2010. Currently, she anchors the 4:30 pm newscasts on WLBT 3 News. She started working for WLBT and also for WDBD at the same time. Ann Jackson began as a Multimedia Journalist at the 2 stations and held that position till November 2012, when she transitioned to the News Reporter.
Ann Jackson is a proud alumnus of the University of Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish. Also, she was a grad of Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the university. During her stint at the university, she worked for NewsWatch, the student-run live broadcast, where she worked as a producer, reporter, and anchor. During the 2008 Presidential Debate, Ann Jackson was chosen as the station’s only credentialed Spin Alley reporter.

While at the university, Ann Jackson interned at Talk Radio News Service in Washington, D.C. While interning, she continued to hone her journalistic skills. She covered press conferences, House and Senate hearings, and other events in the city on a daily basis.
Ann Jackson got recognition from the Southeast Journalism Conference for “First Place-On-Site TV News Packaging”. The Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters Association also recognized her for producing “First Place-Best News Story in College”. Also, in 2008, she was voted the university’s Student Media Center representative at the National College Media Convention. Ann Jackson was the moderator of the Associated Student Body NewsWatch Debate in the year 2009. She was recognized by the Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society, Delta Gamma Sorority, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Ann Jackson has reported on a variety of topics, such as the 2011 Mississippi River flood, a paranormal investigation of Vicksburg’s Duff Green Mansion, the Scott Sisters’ release, and former Governor Haley Barbour’s controversial pardons, among others.
During her leisure, she likes discovering locally owned stores and restaurants and hanging out with her loved ones(family and friends). Also, Ann Jackson loves practicing her favorite dancing routines during her free time, or even traveling(she has traveled to Portugal, Italy, and Spain). Although she will always hold a particular place in her heart for North Mississippi, she has adored calling the Jackson region home since 2010.
