Williams serves as the co-anchor of NBC4’s weekday newscasts, NBC4 News at 5 p.m and 11 p.m., alongside Chuck Henry. She received a Golden Mike for her team coverage of the Chatsworth train crash, as well as an L.A. Emmy and a Golden Mike for her work on NBC4’s special ‘LA Riots: Rubble to Rebirth.’ She was also nominated for a Golden Mike and an Associated Press Award for her coverage of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games Centennial Park bombing in the category of “Best Live Coverage of a News Story.”

The Radio & Television News Association also presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Colleen was especially visible during the O. J. Simpson trial, which she covered for NBC4 and MSNBC, anchoring a daily report on the trial.

After the case, she took over as anchor for NBC4 News at 11 p.m. in 1995, assembling Southern California’s most trusted and powerful news team to this day, which includes Chuck Henry, Fritz Coleman, and Fred Rogin.

She has covered numerous breaking news stories, including two Pope visits, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, the Los Angeles riots, and the numerous infamous car chases that distinguish Southern California.
