Stanwood is a weekend evening anchor and reporter working at ABC15 in Arizona. She joined the station in December 2021 as a multimedia journalist. Stanwood has covered several stories including Haywire wildfires in Flagstaff, Pipeline, and Tunnel since joining the ABC15 news team. She also reported live from LA where the Arizona Cardinals made it all the way to the playoffs in 2022. Stanwood is also the Education Reporter for ABC15.

Prior to joining the ABC15 news team, she worked for the ABC affiliate, KOCO in Oklahoma City chasing tornadoes, flooding, and ice storms. While there, she served the station as lead reporter and fill-in anchor. She also covered the Governor, the 2020 election, as well as Black Lives Matter rallies.

Stanwood has helped several people through her reporting. A Phoenix woman was able to purchase a standing frame to help with her muscular dystrophy after viewers saw the story. Another one, one Scottsdale woman and her mother were able to move into a home from a hotel after a viewer saw her report. In addition to that, she covered the recovery of Phoenix Police Officer Tyler Moldovan after being shot eight times. Stanwood followed the story keeping everyone updated during live continuous coverage of the scene of the Tanger Mall shooting.

As for her education, Stanwood is a proud graduate of The University of Kansas. She joined the college in 2011 to further her education after earning her diploma in General Education. In 2015 after completing her studies there, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Journalism. During her time in college, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Greek Marketing, Big Event Committee Member, and Sophomore Leadership Council.

She became passionate about journalism way back at a young age. Stanwood got an opportunity to be the ‘Guest Weather Kid’ on public access television. While there, she used to produce and report segments for her high school’s 435 magazine show.
