Chris Kane is an American Sports Anchor currently working for KATV since joining the station officially in the year 2010. He anchors the KATV newscasts every weekend, on “Good Morning Arkansas” and ‘Daybreak”. Also, he is actively involved in the University of Central Arkansas Football’s broadcast team(Go Bears!).
Before joining KATV, he was finishing three internships at KATV in the Sports Department under Dale Nicholson, Anthony Eckart, and Steve Sullivan. Kane became a major NFL fan at the age of 10, particularly the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a proud alumnus of Bishop Kenny High School, as well as the University of Central Florida – Orland. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Television/Radio.
Kane anchored FLW College Fishing on the VS. Network alongside former Channel 7 host Jason Harper and Professional Angler Justin Lucas from the year 2009 to the year 2010 before becoming a Weekend Sports Anchor. He was able to travel around the country and hold fishing contests during this time. Being able to learn from Jason and work with some of the most honest people in the world, he says, was an incredible experience.
