Broussard, who was a standout football and basketball player at Holy Name, was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2016. He enrolled at Oberlin College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English in May 1990. On the Oberlin basketball team, he was a point guard.

Broussard serves at FOX Sports as a sports analyst and commentator for Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Radio. He is best known for his NBA coverage. He previously worked for The New York Times, ESPN The Magazine, and ESPN.com, as well as appearing as an analyst on ESPN’s SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, First Take, and NBA Fastbreak. From 1998 to 2004, Broussard rose to national prominence as an NBA reporter for The New York Times, where he covered the Knicks and Nets as well as the NBA as a whole. Broussard began his career as a sportswriter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer in 1990, before moving on to become the Akron Beacon Journal’s Cleveland Cavaliers beat writer in 1994.

Broussard joined ESPN in 2004 and has since contributed to the network on a variety of platforms, including articles for “ESPN The Magazine” and ESPN.com. He was a regular contributor on “SportsCenter,” where he provided viewers with the most recent NBA news and insights from the sidelines. Broussard also appeared on “NBA Countdown” and “First Take” on a regular basis. Broussard also appeared on “NBA Countdown” and “First Take” with FS1 colleague Skip Bayless, whom he now joins as a regular contributor on UNDISPUTED.
