Previously, she was in Lexington, Kentucky, working for WLEX-TV, an NBC-affiliated TV station, as an Education Reporter for 2 years and 10 months. Before that, she was working for WMDT-TV, a dual ABC/CW+-affiliated television station in Salisbury, Maryland for 1 year. Prior to that, she was working at Oriole Park at Camden Yards for a short period, then came to realize that she has a passion for television news, and now joined WMDT.
Lasseter is a proud alumnus of Mississippi College, as well as Towson University. She graduated from Mississippi College with a Master of Arts in Applied Communication, with a 4.0 Grade Point Average(GPA) in December 2006. From Towson University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
