Thompson serves as the host of FOX NFL KICKOFF, the Sunday morning NFL pregame show leading into FOX NFL SUNDAY. Thompson, who is in the prime of an incredible career that began in 2006 as an assistant in the FOX Sports human resources department, has been one of the faces of FS1 since the network’s launch in August 2013. After finishing her HR duties for the day, she went to the network’s highlights department for a crash course in cutting and organizing game clips and logging videotape.
In 2007, after discovering a passion for television production, she applied for and was hired as a production assistant at FOX Sports Net Rocky Mountain. She got her first on-air break in Denver as a fill-in host for the channel’s Saturday evening Colorado Rockies all-access show.
Thompson was approached by FOX executives about a role on the network’s nationally syndicated show “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” which was filmed in Los Angeles, after demonstrating an almost instant comfort level in front of the camera.
