Carly Cassady is an American meteorologist working for FOX31 where she serves as a broadcast meteorologist. She has been working for the station since August 2020.

Carly Cassady Career

Cassady serves as a meteorologist on the Pinpoint Weather team on weekday mornings on Daybreak at 6 a.m., and the FOX31 Morning News at 8 a.m. Carly grew up in all kinds of weather, but she has yet to see a tornado in person and hopes to go to tornado chasing someday.

She went to the University of Memphis in Tennessee for both school and soccer, where she played on the women’s team for four years and won the conference championship. Carly earned a B.S. in Geography with a Meteorology concentration, as well as minors in broadcast journalism and Spanish.

Her career began at KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho, where she worked as a weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter. She also continued her education at Mississippi State University online in order to obtain the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal.

Carly then spent over two years at KBTX in College Station, Texas. She then relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she worked as the weekend morning meteorologist at WXII. Carly received her CBM seal (#816) in February 2019

Carly is excited to be in Denver and forecast the changing weather. She has family here and has previously visited Denver, Steamboat Springs, Vail, and the surrounding areas for vacation and soccer, but she is excited to now call it home.

On May 2nd, 2019, Cassady got into an accident while in her game. She felt her knee pop and could not really walk. She called her mother and informed her. Her mother did not think that it was a big deal and advised her to ice her knee. After some weeks, the injury got worse and had to go to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a fibula fracture. She had to undergo both ACL and  LCL surgery. She shared the information on her Instagram and Facebook page by saying
