Caribe serves as a weeknight meteorologist for EVB Live, 12 News at 5 pm, Arizona Nightly News, and 12 News at 10 pm. She was a news anchor for the Andress High School student news broadcast in high school, but she chose a different path in college.
She earned a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. Caribe returned to news broadcasting shortly after graduating from college, landing her first job as a weathercaster at KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas. Before joining 12 News, she worked as a weekend weather anchor at KTSM-TV in El Paso.
Caribe graduated from Mississippi State University with a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology and is a member of the National Weather Association and the National Association of Black Journalists. The Arizona Monsoon Season, which occurs during the summer months, is Caribe’s favorite part of her job as a meteorologist. Caribe’s main goal is to provide the public with the information they need to stay safe, from record-breaking heat to massive dust storms and violent and torrential thunderstorms.
