Roth serves at Fox 5 as a meteorologist. She attended Penn State University, where she earned a degree in meteorology. Most recently, she was given the Accredited Broadcast Meteorologist Degree by the American Meteorological Society. While still at Penn State, she started broadcasting the weather at Accuweather, State College, Pennsylvania. From there, she went to WOWT in Omaha, Nebraska, and experienced anything from 110 mph straight winds to-30 degree wind chills. She then went back to the East Coast to join the WTXF and the FOX 29 Weather Squad in Philly.
When not working, you’ll see her studying what there is to know about D.C., Virginia, and Maryland—from the highways to the sports teams. She loves to be outdoors and tries to be as active as possible, from hiking and running to traveling-especially the hidden gems of every region. Roth had a shot at WOWT in Omaha. It was there that she did the weather and even became the noon news anchor.
Omaha was also the 76th largest TV market in the United States. After experiencing-30° wind chills and 110 mph winds (straight line) in Omaha and working there for three years, Roth applied for jobs in even larger areas. Soon, Roth received a call from Fox 29, who decided to recruit her as she was expanding her activities. As a result, in January 2012, Caitlin joined the Fox 29 news team in her hometown, the country’s No. 4 market. It was then clear that the talented Caitlin Roth’s net valuation was likely to rise as its reach had widened.
