Prior to that, she worked for WSYR – NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse, New York as a news reporter for 3 years. She has also worked as a news reporter and anchor at WBNG TV 12 in Binghamton, New York for 2 years. Throughout her journalism career, she has flown with the Blue Angels and covered devastating weather events. She has also had the opportunity to meet numerous incredible people who have allowed her to share their stories.
Nuclo has earned many awards, including for her report on the 2009 mass shooting in Binghamton, New York. The Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists, the Syracuse Press Club, and the New York State Broadcasters Association have recognized Nuclo for her work. Additionally, for feature reporting, she was recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award in the year 2020. When it comes to her education, Nuclo graduated from Hamden High School in the year 2004 and attended the University of Connecticut the same year. She graduated from the university in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science
