His career also took him to Augusta, Georgia to work at WJBF, he served as “Aiken Newscenter Chief.” While there, he did several tasks including reporting, editing, as well as shooting. Farrell got to vacuum the station’s bureau in Aiken, South Carolina.

He finally got to anchor the weekend evening newscasts. Farrell headed to Virginia after working at WJBF. After several years, he landed at 13News Now and got a chance to work with some good friends and many terrific people, an opportunity to share the stories of so many other people of North Carolina and Hampton Roads. Every day he is appreciative.
