She also worked at KLFY in Lafayette, Louisiana as a reporter and anchor before moving to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to work as an anchor at KELO. Having been brought up in a military household, they were often on a move, the news was always there to educate her about what was going on around her and her new home.
For six years, she worked in the Louisiana Army National Guard and the Virginia Army National Guard. Some of her most memorable moments include coverage of Hurricane Florence, a two-year investigation that resulted in three wrongfully convicted men being released from prison after 25 years behind bars, being embedded with several military units, and also the Grand Theatre shooting in Lafayette.
For several years, Berry has been a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as the SPCA volunteer. During her leisure, she likes spending quality time with family, friends, her husband, and two rescue dogs. In addition, she enjoys exploring the city, trying new restaurants and new food, going for a run, as well as volunteering.
