Maxon was privileged to be awarded the “Seal of Approval” from The American Meteorological Society for weather forecasting and broadcasting. In his tenure as a professional meteorologist, he has been privileged to cover many other major storms which have struck the northeast.
These include the Great Winter Storm of 1993, the amazing President’s Day Blizzard of 2003, the Blizzard of 1996, the Blizzard of February 2013 Hurricane Bob in 1991, and Irene and Sandy as well. Asides from this, he volunteers his time to raise important money for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Special Olympics, FAVARH, and the March of Dimes.
