He joined the station in February 2015, and anchors and produces special projects for FOX 29 News. “Our Race Reality”, is a series of segments and specials in which he manages the content of the station’s special reports. In his regular news series “For Goodness’ Sake,” he reports on the brighter side of life.
Prior to joining the team as a co-anchor of the weekend edition of “Good Day Philadelphia”, he was a contributor to”Good Day Philadelphia” and FOX 29 News for years. He was serving as a reporter for “Chasing News,” an innovative public affairs program broadcast on WWOR in Secaucus, New Jersey, and FOX 29 for three years before FOX 29.
Anderson hosted an award-winning talk show on Philadelphia’s 900 AM WURD, “Wake Up with Bill,” for ten years prior to beginning working with “Chasing News.” For his work in the community, he was named one of “Philadelphia’s Most Influential African Americans” by the Philadelphia Tribune Newspaper. Furthermore, he was also named “Best Radio Talker” by Philadelphia Weekly.
JAY-Z’s documentary of the nationally-recognized concert “Made in America” featured him. In the “Black on Black” an Emmy-nominated FOX 29 series, he served as a panelist.
