During the racial reckoning that followed the Floyd protests, White moderated topical virtual conversations with the Los Angeles Urban League, the Los Angeles Department of Civil and Human Rights, U.S. Congressmen Adam Schiff and Karen Bass, the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, the Safe Communities Institute at the University of Southern California, the Jamaica Cultural Alliance, and live on NBC4 d.

Prior to joining NBC4, White worked for WTVJ, an NBC-owned and operated station in Miami, where she was part of the team that won the 1992 Peabody Award for Hurricane Andrew coverage. Previously, White was the weekday morning news anchor for WKRC in Cincinnati.

She started her career at KMOL in San Antonio, then moved on to KCEN in Temple/Waco and KENS in San Antonio. Throughout her career, White has volunteered her time and talent to local colleges and non-profit organizations. She is still mentoring students and interns she has met throughout her career.
