De Leon serves as the NBC4 Today in LA meteorologist on weekdays from 4:00 to 7:00 a.m. Her versatility and love of weather and local news led her to a career in broadcast television more than a decade ago. She began her career as the host of a variety of entertainment television shows before moving on to radio and news at KNVO-TV in South Texas.

She reported the weather in English and Spanish in Texas from 2007 to 2011, including coverage of Hurricane Dolly in 2008. In 2012, she began working as a meteorologist for Denver’s NBC station, KUSA-TV, forecasting snowstorms, severe weather, and wildfires during the weekday and weekend newscasts.

She quickly became one of the most well-known members of the community. De Leon earned her Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University and the National Weather Association’s Seal of Approval. Prior to becoming a meteorologist, De Leon was a member of a Regional Mexican band, and she spent a lot of time on the road performing. Her band, La Onda, won two Latin Billboard Music Awards.
