Smith is a meteorologist and reporter at FOX 19. She joined the station in September 2017 as a meteorologist and reporter. Prior to joining FOX 19, she was working at WSIL-TV in southern Illinois as a morning meteorologist.
She attended Penn State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. After graduation, she moved to Kirksville, Missouri in May 2008 to work at KTVO-TV. While there, she served as a general assignment reporter and weekend meteorologist.
Smith returned to her Mountain State roots in Charleston, West Virginia in 2010. She later joined WCHS-TV/Fox 11 and served as a weekend meteorologist for two years. While still there, she was honored as the Best Weathercaster Runner-Up and received the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association award.
In Carterville, she experienced flooding, tornadoes, major snowstorms, and severe storms for almost five years. During her free time, she likes training for her latest marathon, spending time with her husband and their dog “Windy”, or cheering for the Nittany Lions and the Steelers.
