Art Holliday is an American Emmy Award-winning News/Sports Director currently working for KSDK-TV since joining the station in the year 1979. Currently, he serves as the News Director, where his duties are employee coaching and training, as well as recruiting. He began as a sportscaster at the station, and in 1989, he became the anchor of “Today in St. Louis,” alongside Jennifer Blome. He has spent more than 40 years at the station.
Holliday has also worked as a managing editor, as well as an executive producer of the morning newscasts(2 times), at 5 On Your Side. Recently, he was a co-anchor of the 4 pm newscasts, alongside Scott Connell and Kay Quinn, as well as co-hosting a radio show with Blome on KTRS. He was appointed interim news director in the month of December 2020, then he was named permanent news director in the month of March 2021.

Prior to joining KSDK-TV, Holliday was in Oklahoma City, working for an ABC-affiliated TV station, KOCO-TV. He stayed there for around 2 years, working in the sports department. Holliday has won multiple honors for his broadcasting efforts, including 3 Sportscasting Emmy Awards in the years 1989, 1988, and 1985. He was also honored in the Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists Hall of Fame in the year 2001. Additionally, he received the National Alliance on Mental Health’s annual Media Award in the year 2002, and the University of Missouri-distinguished Columbia’s Faculty-Alumni Award in the year 2003. Holliday was also elected into the Television Hall of Fame of the St. Louis Media Foundation in the year 2009. Holliday is a proud alumnus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
During his leisure, you can find him filmmaking a documentary, or doing photograph taking, or even playing tennis. “Before They Fall Off The Cliff,” his debut documentary, has been accepted into many film festivals and is being used by the Crisis Intervention Team of St. Louis County to train police officers on how to de-escalate contacts with persons who have mental illnesses. He’s now working on a music documentary about Rock & Roll Hall of Fame musician Johnnie Johnson called “Johnnie Be Good.
