Anthony Everett Career
Everett serves at WCVB, where he works on WCVB Channel 5’s nightly newsmagazine, Chronicle. He has been working in the program since September 2005. Anthony has as well worked as co-anchor of NewsCenter 5 at 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 PM.

Everett went to Tufts University in Medford, MA. At the moment, he serves as a guest lecturer at Tufts in their Film and Media Studies Program. Anthony began his professional broadcasting career at KSPN-TV in Aspen, Colorado in 1984 as a sports reporter and anchor.
Later he became the KSPN’s news director and remained with the station until 1987. Everett started working at WCVB’s NewsCenter 5 in 1990 as a general assignment reporter. Before then, he was working as a general assignment reporter and weekday anchor on the 6.00 PM and 11.00 PM newscasts at WVIT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Hartford, CT.
Everett has been honored with so many Emmy Awards, like Emmys in 2016 when he reported on Education and the high incidence of cancer among Boston Firefighters. He again received an Emmy when he reported on Alzheimer’s as a societal concern in 2015.
Another Emmy he received was for hosting a special on “Holiday Lights” also in 2015 and also in 2011 for a special on the Boston Pops 125th anniversary. Everett’s work as host of Chronicle was recognized with an Emmy in 2010.
