Ansley Watson is an American News Reporter, Host, as well as Multimedia Journalist currently working for KATV since joining the station in August 2017. She serves as a co-host for “Good Afternoon Arkansas” at the station. She has also worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist at the station.

Previously, she was in Marquette, Michigan, working for a dual NBC/Fox-affiliated TV station, WLUC-TV. She stayed there for 2 years and a month, working as a Morning Reporter, as well as Multimedia Journalist.

There she reported and covered stories via live segments throughout the TV6 Morning News. She spent many days covering severe weather in the Upper Peninsula. As a result, she was awarded first prize by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for a breaking news story about a flood washout.

She is a proud alumnus of Harding University   – Searcy, Arkansas, where, in the year 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. She got a chance to travel to New Zealand, Asia, and Australia, during her tenure at the university. Also, she was also quite active in the communications department, where she assisted with the radio and television programs.

Watson completed internships with a positive hits radio station in St. Louis and a Minor League Baseball team named the Gateway Grizzlies, which entailed developing media and marketing content for them. During her leisure, she enjoys keeping bees, traveling, and long-distance running, which she started with her father when she was 14 years old.
