Anne Allred is an American News Anchor/Reporter working for KSDK-TV since joining the station in January 2013. She anchors the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news for 5 On Your Side News alongside Mike Bush.
Previously, she worked with WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston. There, she worked for six years and served as the weekday morning and noon anchor. Before this, she worked with WCTI in New Bern, N.C., NPR, and WSYX/WTTE in Columbus. At the moment, she is thrilled to be back in the Cardinals, her hometown. However, she says that 5 On Your Side feels like home as well.
She is an award-winning journalist having won the Mid-America Emmy award for best news anchor for her coverage of the 2014 unrest in Ferguson, Missouri. In WHDH, she was privileged to receive a 2012 Emmy nomination for best news anchor.
In her career as an anchor, she has traveled a long way to cover some of the biggest news stories. This includes content for the Olympics Games in Vancouver, Beijing, and London. Anne got the journalism “bug” when she interned at 5 On Your Side while earning her degree in journalism from the Ohio State University.
Allred is a proud alumnus of De Smet High Grad high school and Villa Duchesne. Anne is also a graduate of the Ohio State University where she obtained her degree in journalism. Her career as a journalist began as an intern at 5 On Your Side.
