He has worked at WMC since 2006, the first station to broadcast in Tennessee and the first to deliver a broadcast television signal into Mississippi. Andrew works as an investigative reporter and anchors the morning and noon newscasts. Andrew is conscious of his need to give back to the community. He hosts and emcees events and fundraisers all around the Mid-South throughout the year, in addition to his annual support of United Way charities.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk for a Cure, the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, the Autism Awareness 5K, Project Green Fork’s Living Local auction and fundraiser, the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf auction and fundraiser, the Boy Scouts of America, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce are just a few of them. Andrew has been acknowledged and recognized by the Tennessee Associated Press as one of the greatest anchors in the state.

He’s also been named “Best TV News Anchor” in reader votes conducted by two major Memphis periodicals. Andrew had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. He spent six days filing reports from various locations, conducting live broadcasts for the morning news, and maintaining an updated blog on the station’s website about his experiences.

Andrew worked for WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio, before moving to Memphis. For his work as an evening weekend anchor, he received Emmy nominations and accolades. He also worked in East Tennessee’s highlands, where he won an Associated Press Award for his Hurricane Bonnie coverage. His probe of a Tennessee wedding chapel aided in the rewriting of state legislation, ensuring the safety of hundreds of marriages.

Andrew was one of the first journalists employed at Central Florida News 13, a 24-hour cable news program in Orlando, in 1997. He reported on NASA’s space program in real-time, including shuttle launches and landings. In the same year, he documented Florida’s deadliest tornado disaster in history. His first employment after college was at WRBL in Columbus, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Florida, he began his broadcasting career in Gainesville at WUFT-TV and WRUF-AM/FM.
