Andrea Mitchell is an American Commentator, Correspondent, Anchor, and Reporter working at NBC News serving as the Chief Foreign Affairs and Washington Correspondent. She also serves as the host of “Andrea Mitchell Reports” which airs on MSNBC.

Mitchell went to New Rochelle High School where she attained her high school diploma. After graduating from high school, she joined the University of Pennsylvania where she attained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature in 1967. When it comes to her profession, Mitchell works at NBC News as the Chief Foreign Affairs and Washington Correspondent.
She started her journalism career at WXPN where she served as the news director of student radio. She, later on, left the station and joined KYW radio where she served as a reporter. After some time working at KYW radio, she left and joined KYW-TV where she served as the station’s City Hall correspondent. Mitchell joined CBS affiliate WTOP (now WUSA) in Washington, D.C. in 1976 and after two years moved to NBC News.

Mitchell has also managed to cover several campaigns including the entire 2008 presidential campaign for MSNBC and NBC News programs including “Hardball,” “Meet the Press,” “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Morning Joe,” and “Today.”
Mitchell also enclosed Barack Obama’s trip to the Middle East, Europe, and Iraq during the presidential campaign. In 2002 and 2003, she enclosed the Iraq war, and the United Nations debate, and reported on the surrounding pre-war intelligence and weapons of mass destruction. She has also traveled to quite a number of countries including Afghanistan, Bosnia, North Korea, Pakistan, Haiti, Kosovo, and the Middle East.
