Throughout her career, she has covered social issues, courts, and politics. She traveled to Capitol Hill to cover testimony on the Flint Water Crisis and to Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. Furthermore, she went to the Supreme Court for the same-sex marriage case, this was after a Michigan couple’s fight for the right to marry coverage. When the earthquake hit an orphanage in Haiti, Lange traveled there numerous times to tell the story of the children impacted by the natural disaster.
She has received numerous Emmy awards as an investigative reporter and best anchor. Her coverage of children in the state foster care system and in Haiti helped her win Emmy awards. She has a passion for the homelessness issue. In addition, she received an Edward R Murrow Regional Award for her report on homeless veterans. The Associated Press, and Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and Professional Journalists also awarded her.
