Davis is a consumer reporter who started her journalism career as an intern at KPRC 2 News. She then went on to work as an anchor and reporter in Beaumont, Asheville, North Carolina, and San Antonio before coming back home to KPRC 2. Some of her favorite stories that she ever covered are: At Beaumont, she reported on racial discrimination at a small town swim club.

Davis’s investigation got the attention of the Justice Department, which promptly closed the pool. Additionally, the story also won her the 1998 Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Award for Best Investigative Report. While in Asheville, Amy uncovered deplorable living conditions at an assisted living facility. The state fined the business and moved several of the residents to many appropriate homes.
