Ten years later after joining the station, her husband, Frank Vascellaro joined her as a co-anchor. Santaniello and her husband Frank became the first married couple to co-anchor a news program in the Twin Cities.
Her career started at WUSA as an intern in Washington, D.C. After working there for some time, she moved to Elmira, N.Y at WETM-TV. While there, she anchored the weekend newscasts. From there, she left for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to serve as an anchor and reporter at WNEP-TV. In 2000 and 2013, she was named the Best Newscaster in Twin Cities by the City Pages editors.
Additionally, she was picked as the favorite local female television personality by the Readers of The Minnesota Women’s Press. Santaniello and her husband like to be deeply involved in the community. Mostly they serve at some of the Twin Cities premier charity events as masters of ceremonies.
