Amanda Skrzypchak is an American News Anchor/Reporter currently working for WPBN-TV since joining the station in October 2020. She started out as an anchor and reporter for the station’s evening newscasts, but today she co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Skrzypchak worked at the NBC station in Fort Myers, Florida for the previous four and a half years before joining the UpNorthLive News crew. She served as an anchor for the 11 a.m. and noon newscasts, a morning traffic anchor, and a reporter on the field throughout her time there. Skrzypchak talked about a number of brush fires, water quality issues, Hurricane Irma, and COVID-19.

In fact, from the end of March to the beginning of June 2020, Skrzypchak worked as a fact-checker for NBC-2, doing over 160 coronavirus-related fact-check reports. Skrzypchak began her career at KFYR-TV, an NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota. She worked as a noon producer and anchor, morning reporter, education reporter, and assignment editor in New Jersey for a year. She formerly worked in newsrooms in Indiana, Madison, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Skrzypchak is a proud alumnus of Neenah High School in Wisconsin, and the University of Wisconsin. She graduated from the university with a Bachelor of Arts in Web Journalism, as well as Broadcast and Print.
