Alice Kang is an American anchor working for NBC5 since joining the station in August 2018 as the station’s morning anchor. Kang actually helped launch the first 4:30 a.m. newscast in the market. Further, Kang enjoys being the producer of her weekly segment, Motivation Mondays, telling stories about people doing good deeds across our region and much more.

Kang was raised on the north shore of Chicago and thus, speaks Korean fluently. She went to Purdue University where she graduated with a degree in Mass Communications and Hospitality Tourism Management. Alice worked in Rock Island, Illinois as a reporter after graduation. She remembers well her moment having the opportunity to go along with a group of veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Afterward, she went to Madison, Wisconsin to work as an anchor as well as a reporter and actually helped launch the 9.00 PM newscast.
Working in WPTZ makes her happy, she also loves the idea of exploring the Champlain Valley. In addition, she wants to learn more about the community and the people that make the area unique. Outside work, you will find her traveling, experiencing new things, as well as meeting new people. Further, you will find her with her rescue dog, Luella, on a walk or paddleboarding on Lake Champlain.
