In addition, she also did some investigative work where she uncovered irregularities in DWI court cases. The North Carolina State Board of Investigations launched investigations into an attorney and a retired judge as a result.

During her leisure time or when she is not busy on the news desk, she likes exploring and meeting new people. In addition to that, she enjoys being on the beach sand with Charlie, her Water-Dog. She adopted him in 2015 from an animal rescue.
