Alex Wilson is an American Meteorologist/Host working for The Weather Channel serving the station as an On-Camera Meteorologist and Co-Host for Weather Underground. She has been working with the station since March 2013.

Wilson attended Syracuse University and Penn State University. There, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing back in the month of May 2006. Back in the month of December 2007, she graduated with Distinction and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology from Penn State University. Asides from this, she holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society.
During her time at Penn State, she was privileged to be awarded the AMS John R. Hoppe Endowed Scholarship in Atmospheric Science which was endowed by The Weather Channel. Additionally, she received the Joel N. and Peggy Myers Scholarship in Meteorology(from the PSU Department of Meteorology).
This is in addition to receiving the John and Elizabeth Holmes Teas Scholarship (from the PSU College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Additionally, in her time at Syracuse, she was awarded the Chauncey D. Holmes Award for excellence in Geology, She was also honored as one of the top seniors in the Whitman School of Management(Whitman Scholar).

Wilson works for The Weather Channel serving the station as a Co-Host for Weather Underground and On-Camera Meteorologist. Prior to this, she was working as a Morning Meteorologist at FOX Carolina in Grenville, South Carolina. She also previously worked for WOWK-TV and WVNS-TV located in Huntington, WV. There, she worked for about two years.
Asides from this, she is an advocate for animal adoption and welfare and enjoys bringing attention to the “underdogs” at local shelters. Together with her husband, they love food and wine and plan entire trips around to experience the culinary scene in different cities and countries.
As a result of this hobby, she spends most of her free time doing fitness classes. Away from work, she may also be found on her couch briefing her friends on all the latest pop culture news which is while reality TV plays in the background.
