Oxenreiter serves at WPXI as a Sports Director and the principal sports anchor for Channel 11 News, as well as Channel 11 News on Fox 53 at 10 p.m. In Grand Junction, Colorado, he began his career in television sports. In Harrisburg and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he worked as a sports anchor and reporter.
Alby anchored and reported on Pittsburgh sports for both WTAE-TV and WPGH-TV before joining Channel 11. Alby is involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Service Society and United Cerebral Palsy, which is linked with the MSSS.
Alby is a member of the UCP/Class Advisory Board and hosts the annual Alby Oxenreiter Golf Classic in support of the MSSS. Alby has also served on the boards of the American Cancer Society’s Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter, Southwinds, the Arthritis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, and DePaul Institute. Alby’s also collaborated with Saint Anthony’s School’s special-needs programs.
Alby also serves as the yearly emcee for the Golden Apple Awards event, which honors outstanding teachers in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He also acts as Master of Ceremonies for the North Side Friends and Neighbors Sports Gala on Pittsburgh’s North Side, which benefits Cardinal Wright Regional School.
