In January 2021, Kuperstein provided a live report on the United States Capitol riots that brought interruption to the certification of the 2020 Presidential election. From Pittsburgh, Kuperstein provided live coverage of the tragic anti-Semitic attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue, in October 2018. Kuperstein has spoken with Steel City’s faith community members and conducted interviews with Tri-State officials, where he attended the Squirrel Hill memorial service.
In February 2018, he covered the tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Parkland, FL. Kuperstein spent a couple of days ground-reporting the response and community impact of the shooting. After 1 month, Kuperstein went to speak with Marjory Stoneman victims, as well as their families and student supporters from the Tri-State at the “March for our Lives” rally in Washington. Kuperstein has also reported on the deadly 2018 Trump Tower inferno in Manhattan, as well as Hurricanes Dorian and Irma in Florida.
