Adam Godley Breaking Bad
Godley portrays Elliott Schwartz in Breaking Bad. Elliott Schwartz is Walter White’s former college science partner and co-founder of Gray Matter Technologies, a successful scientific research firm he co-founded with Walter. He co-owns the company with his wife, Gretchen Schwartz. In college, Elliot and Walt were best friends. They collaborated on their thesis and on a study on proton radiography, which resulted in their team winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The two eventually formed their own company, “Gray Matter Technologies,” which was named after the combination of their surnames, White and Schwartz, resulting in gray.
However, after a snag in his relationship with his girlfriend, Gretchen, Walt chose to leave Gray Matter and sell his share of the company to Elliot for only $5000. Elliot and Gretchen eventually started dating and then married and co-owned Gray Matter together, eventually becoming multi-billionaires. Although Walter remained friendly with the two, he secretly blamed Gretchen and Elliot for kicking him out of Gary Matter and stealing his research, completely ignoring the fact that he chose to leave himself.

Godley’s most recent role was as one of the three Lehman brothers in The Lehman Trilogy at the National Theatre. Stefano Massini, an Italian novelist, and playwright wrote the three-act play The Lehman Trilogy. It follows the lives of three immigrant brothers as they arrive in America and establish an investment firm, as well as the collapse of their company in 2008 and the ensuing financial crisis. It has been translated into 24 languages, staged by directors such as Luca Ronconi and Sam Mendes, and published as a novel later on.

Godley portrays Nigel Nesbitt on the USA Network series Suits. Nigel Alexander Nesbitt is a lawyer and Senior Partner at Darby International, and he shares many of Louis Litt’s specialization fields and characteristics, such as his love of cats and mudding. Despite their shared qualities, he does not appear to agree with Louis, owing to Louis’ betrayal. He graduated from Harvard and Cambridge in three years and worked at Darby International with Dana Scott and Stephen Huntley.
In “War,” both Nigel and Louis are tasked with creating an efficiency list for the merger in order to determine which one is superior. Both compete, but when they talk and share their similarities, they agree to keep each other off their lists so that both of them can be kept. Louis, on the other hand, adds Nigel to his list when he believes Nigel will do the same, but Donna reveals that Nigel kept his word and kept Louis off his list.
After being left off the list, Nigel re-enters the law firm’s good graces and exacts revenge on Louis by duping him into relinquishing control over the associates. When Nigel left for a business trip to their Hong Kong office, he delegated responsibility for his cat Mikado to Louis. However, Louis was hesitant to return the cat to Nigel, so they staged a mock trial. After Louis won, Nigel requested that he return Mikado in exchange for allowing Louis to manage associates, which Louis agreed to.

Godley appeared as Sir Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes. The plot revolves around the antics of passengers on an ocean liner sailing from New York to London. Later, Gouldsberry began working as an assassin for the Lindquist Concern, a group of corporations dedicated to suppressing modern inventions that could undermine their profits. When they couldn’t seize control of the invention, they’d kill the inventor instead to keep it hidden from the rest of the world.
Among their victims were Ian Pugachevsky, who was working on cold fusion and was on the verge of a breakthrough when he was killed and disposed of while hiking, and Karen Rose, who developed a more effective and non-addictive alternative to opiates but died of a staged overdose before it could be tested in clinical trials. However, while Gouldsberry was carrying out the hits assigned to him, he began hoarding information about the actual inventions they were working on, intending to release them to open-source platforms where the entire world could access them.
