She joined KOMO in December 2018 and resigned on December 2, 2021. Before joining KOMO, Acone was working as the morning and midday meteorologist for the ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs, KRDO, for more than four years. There, Acone covered the wide spectrum of wild weather in the Rocky Mountains, including hurricane-force winds, blizzards, fire weather, tornadoes, grapefruit-sized hail, and more.

She also provided coverage on issues like local climate change research, drought concerns, snowpack fluctuations, and avalanche danger. Acone loves mountain meteorology and is so happy to be applying her previous experience to forecasting weather for the Cascades and Olympics. She also did Telemundo weather in Colorado and loves getting any chance to practice her Spanish.

Her first TV job was in Tri-Cities, Washington, for KEPR/KIMA TV. Acone worked there as a general assignment reporter and weekend weather anchor for 2 years.
